Thursday 23 January 2025, from 6:30 pm, the Angelo Art Hotel (Calle de l'Angelo 403, San Marco, Venice) opens the solo exhibition by Lorena Premoli "Metamorfosi in Divenire" (Metamorphosis in Progress), curated by Daniela Accorsi (AccorsiArte) and Isabella Mura. The event is open to the public with free admission from 6:30 pm. A convivial moment with a toast will follow.

Lorena Premoli, an artist of clear renown among connoisseurs of that marvellous and superior art, communicates a knowing language made of calibrated thought and gestural energy that carries out the genesis of the delicate and impetuous work.

The exhibition "Metamorfosi in Divenire" represents a journey through transformation, where waste materials find new life and merge with painting to create works of unique and intrinsic fascination. Each work is a visual narrative in which forgotten fragments transform into tangible emotions, reflecting the beauty of change and the creative power of recycling. The artist invites the public to explore an eclectic path, made of contrasts and harmonies, where matter transforms and regenerates, revealing echoes of past stories and opening spaces for reflection on the impact and potential of art as a regenerative act.

"Metamorfosi in Divenire" is not only a celebration of contemporary art, but also a dialogue with time and with the deep meaning of our material and emotional choices.

The exhibition is an exploration of change and rebirth, where each work represents a unique experiment of matter and colour. The artist combines variable techniques and a vast range of materials - from traditional oil and acrylic paints, to unexpected recycled elements such as bed sheets, linen trousers, sack jute, curtain threads, steel washers and bolts, gravel, Tuscan path rock, towels, clothing label strings, rope, elastic cotton bandages, buttons, glass drops, vitrified resin, hydrangea flowers, and even pencil shavings. This eclectic and experimental approach gives life to works that challenge the traditional boundaries of art, transforming waste materials and everyday objects into visual narratives rich in meaning.

Critical-Biographical Note

Lorena Premoli, an enterprising contemporary artist, was born and works in Milan. Of a strictly eclectic nature and personality, curiosity and intuition lead her to develop various artistic techniques, to build furniture objects and create paintings starting from the use of recycled elements and alternative materials in material abstract painting. She begins her artistic production inspired by the Futurist movement. She continues her experimentation creating material works using selected recovery materials to transform into beauty, taking on the grandeur of renewal and rebirth. In 2018 she decides to devote herself full time to her artistic passion. She has exhibited at Palazzo Ducale (Genoa), Palazzo Borghese (Rome), Castello Sforzesco Visconteo (Novara), Museo Luigi Bellini (Florence), Art3F (Monte Carlo), Captaloona ArtGallery (Madrid), and is in permanent exhibition at Accorsi Arte (Turin and Venice).
