Biography

Between heaven and hell, life and death, joy and sorrow: the works of Alexandra Kordas explore the boundary between redemption and damnation. Her leitmotif, the Cross, introduces a powerful symbolism into her work, emblematic of this inner confrontation. Alexandra Kordas created her first artwork only in 2018, driven by a disruptive event: her son's illness. Since then, the German artist has created paintings, sculptures and installations in various forms and materials. Her work is influenced by contemporary social and political crises, as well as by spiritual, emotional and intellectual impulses. Her intent is to bring viewers into contact with their own soul and with the pain it carries.
